I'm a former newspaper reporter who focused on the "practical stuff" of life, as it relates to health/mental health, aging and food. During my years as a journalist, I also earned a master's in counseling. Along the way, I earned some state and national reporting awards for stories on mental health, aging, profiles and hospice care.

On the personal front: I am an older mom who lives with her wonderful husband and two beautiful school age children in Northeast Ohio. I am the family travel advisor, who starts planning the next trip as soon as vacation ends. I also lead a Girl Scout troop and do other volunteer work.
